The Hotel de France invites you to stay at the most famous motoring hotel in France. Soak up the atmosphere with a drink in the bar, which features a history of the hotel and its long association with the Le Mans 24 Hour race on the walls. Sit down for dinner at the hotel and choose from one of the many of dishes available, prepared by our chefs using local produce. Then take a night cap before retiring to one of our recently refurbished chic and luxurious rooms for a comfortable night’s sleep.
When you book a motoring holiday with the Hotel de France, our staff will take care of your every need. Ferry crossings are provided at preferential rates, negotiated especially for our guests. We will provide you with carefully thought out itineraries and road books taking you to the best spots in the Loir region and beyond to the Loire Valley, from beautiful riverside villages to historic châteaux.
You can either bring your own classic or modern car or we can arrange for you to hire the archetypal French 2CV (subject to availability).
Take lunch en route at one of our recommended pre-booked restaurants. Picnics can also be provided, prepared by our chefs, together with wine for the passenger!
Why not give you and your car a day off from the driving and let us take you on a tour of the vineyards and wine caves of the Loir?
A worry for all car drivers is the possibility of breakdown. Hotel de France has specifically catered for this unfortunate event by offering a vehicle collection service utilising our own air conditioned Land Rover and vehicle trailer, to return you and your car to the hotel. (The service is complimentary for tour participants up to a maximum distance of 100 miles from the hotel and subject to availability)
